As of this writing, the current world population is approximately 7.3 billion people. Isn’t that amazing? 7.3 billion people and there’s no one else like you.

Each one of us has a reason for being, a desire that longs to be creatively expressed. Even if you don’t know what it is, there is something distinct about you, something that makes you stand out amidst the crowd, something that makes your heart sing, something that when you share it, we all benefit.

You are a powerful creator. Within you is the ability to create anything you desire and connecting to your inner voice is the key to unlocking your creative power. When you deliberately focus your energy on what you want through the power of intention, you learn very quickly that you have the power to create your reality.

In other words, when you focus on what you do want instead of what you don’t want, miracles begin to show up. When you shift your inner landscape, your outer world shifts to reflect your new perspective.

What is your inner voice?

Your inner voice is your connection to Spirit, God, Creator. It’s your authentic self. It is gentle, calm and kind. It knows who you truly are and its one desire is to guide you towards your fulfilled life. It wants to cut through the noise and share its wisdom with you.

When you’re connected to your inner voice you have access to all the information you need to know in order to birth your life purpose into the world.

When you’re disconnected from your innate wisdom it’s difficult to feel connected to your unique gifts. You may feel depressed, out of sorts, confused or other distracting emotions. These emotions are an indication that you are disconnected from Spirit and blocking the connection to your inner wisdom.

The truth is, these feelings are a huge gift if you’re willing to acknowledge them and take action to shift them.

When you know what you don’t want, it is an opportunity to get clear on what you do want. When you acknowledge the negative emotions that are controlling you, now you have something to work with. Releasing the layers of density or resistance is like parting the clouds and letting the sun shine through. As these layers lift, you hear your inner voice more clearly.

How do you begin to release the layers of resistance?

A simple and effective tool for shifting limited beliefs comes from Michael Losier’s book, “Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t.” The technique is called “I’m in the process of…”

I’m in the process of…

This phenomenal expression will help you feel better about any situation in your life that you would like to change. It is especially helpful when you are having difficulty believing that you can achieve what you want.

Using an example from above, let’s say you feel out of sorts about what to do next in your life. Simply by stating “I’m in the process of getting clear on what my next steps are”, you’re opening yourself to new possibilities and in most cases this awareness alone will help you feel better immediately. Use this tool regularly to not only feel better but raise your vibration and build self confidence in achieving what you want.

I encourage you to journal your thoughts and feelings as you move forward on your journey. Spirit speaks through the written word and you will find your own inner wisdom flow onto the page as you commit to this powerful process. Daily meditation also helps support the letting go of old thought patterns. Sitting just 5-10 minutes a day in silence can produce profound results.

Over time you will learn to trust your inner voice and take inspired action. Your creative power will expand and your life will be the joyful experience you are here to create.

I suggest using this daily affirmation as a reminder to be present and trust your inner voice:

My journey is beautiful and complete just as it is. It is unfolding in perfect time and I am fully present for the experience. I trust my inner voice to guide me with grace, ease and love. My heart is open. And so it is.
